Education
Alexandra received her Bachelor of Arts Honors (B.A.) from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario in 2014, majoring in English and Political Science with a minor in Law. She obtained her Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 2017 from the Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law in Kamloops, British Columbia. Alexandra was called to the bar in 2018 after completing her articles with Lancaster Brooks & Welch.
Experience
While Alexandra started as an Associate lawyer July 3, 2018, she first joined Lancaster Brooks & Welch in 2012 and spent several summers working at the firm throughout both her undergraduate and law school studies. Alexandra continued with Lancaster Brooks & Welch in 2017 when she returned to complete her articles with the firm. Alexandra was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018 and accepted an associate position with Lancaster Brooks & Welch in the Labour and Employment Law Group.
During law school Alexandra participated in the Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law Legal Information Service, providing pro bono legal assistance to the Kamloops community. While summering and articling with the firm Alexandra gained experience in many different practice areas, though she has always maintained a focus on labour and employment law. Alexandra has worked closely with Leanne Standryk and Civita Gauley in acting for both employers and employees in many different sectors, gaining experience working on a variety of labour and employment issues in several different forums.
