Lancaster Brooks & Welch welcomes Rob to the Corporate & Commercial Law team.
Robert graduated from Western Law in June 2013, receiving his Juris Doctor with a concentration in intellectual property. He completed his articles at a well-respected national law firm in Hamilton and was called to the Ontario bar in June 2014 before joining Lancaster Brooks & Welch LLP.
During law school, Robert volunteered with Community Legal Services working on criminal, provincial offence, small claims, estate, wills, and landlord and tenant files. In addition, he founded and supervised the intellectual property division of Community Legal Services. Robert also participated in a number of faculty competitions, winning top prize in the Harrison Pensa Contract Drafting Competition and honourable mention in the Cherniak Cup Trial Advocacy Competition. He was also a board member of the Western Intellectual Property Association.
Prior to attending law school, Robert studied at Queen’s University, graduating with a Bachelor of Biochemical Engineering. Robert followed his undergraduate with a Master of Biochemical Engineering at the University of Western Ontario.
Robert brings to his practice a deep commitment to the law and understanding of the legal issues the clients of Lancaster Brooks & Welch LLP face. Robert is excited to bring his skills and experience to the St. Catharines region to best serve the clients of Lancaster Brooks & Welch LLP.
Rob started is academic career with a BA & Masters in Biochemical Engineering before changing tracks and entering Law School. Robert is excited to bring his skills and experience to the St. Catharines region serving the clients of Lancaster Brooks & Welch LLP. When Robert is not working, he enjoys playing (but mainly watching) all manner of sports and playing golf (although the perfect swing still eludes him). He is looking forward to becoming involved in the St. Catharines community.
