Update on Covid-19 Screening Tools

 

On February 26, 2021 two new screening tool requirements were introduced by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health for Ontario.  The new screening questions require a worker or patron:

 

  1. Travel outside of Canada: In the last 14 days, have you or anyone you lived with travelled outside of Canada? (This does not include essential service workers who cross the border or are otherwise exempt from quarantine requirements)

 

  1. In respect of symptoms/testing: Is anyone you live with currently experiencing any new COVID-19 symptoms and/or waiting for test results after experiencing symptoms?

 

If the worker or patron answers yes to the forgoing question they must be advised to stay home until the individual gets a negative COVID-19 test result, is cleared by the local public health unit or is diagnosed with another illness.

 

Every organization and Business required to utilize a screening tool under the Re-opening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19 Act, 2020 and regulations, must ensure that the screening tool complies with the updated requirements.  You may access each of the updates as follows:
