Johanna began her career in law in our Nation’s Capital, Ottawa, with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies and English (Summa Cum Laude) from Carleton University, and with the completion of her law degree (LLB) at the University of Ottawa in 2009.
Born and raised in the Niagara Region, Johanna was proud to return to her roots with her husband Jason, originally from Ottawa, to practice law as a civil litigator and to raise their two children.
Since called to the Bar by the Law Society of Upper Canada, in 2010, Johanna’s litigation practice has focused on commercial disputes, construction law/liens and estates litigation.
As a practical-minded person, Johanna has transformed her personal interest in construction and the building trades into a growing practice, as one of the few members of Niagara’s bar to practice in the area of construction liens/construction law.
Johanna’s approach to law is a simple one: use client-focused strategic analysis to prevent or resolve disputes in the quickest and most cost-effective way possible.
