After graduating from E.L. Crossley Secondary School, Jillian obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University in 2006. She then pursued legal studies at the University of Leicester in England and received her Bachelor of Laws in 2008. Jillian was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013.
In 2013, Jillian obtained a Master of Laws through Osgoode Professional Development Centre at York University Osgoode Hall Law School, where she focused on intellectual property law and alternative dispute resolution.
Having grown up in the Niagara Region, Jillian moved back to the area to complete her Articles and practiced corporate and commercial law with an established firm in the Region prior to accepting an Associate position within Lancaster, Brooks & Welch’s corporate and commercial department in 2015.
Jillian assists clients with the purchase and sale of businesses, the incorporation and organization of companies as well as with corporate reorganizations. She drafts shareholders’ agreements, lease agreements and other documentation associated with corporate and commercial matters.
She also acts for clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions and provides advice in the area of Estate planning, which includes the drafting of wills and powers of attorney.
