Education

Chelsey received her Bachelor of Laws with Honours in 2016 from the University of Exeter, in England. Having completed her articles with a busy Family Law sole practitioner in Burlington, Chelsey was called to the Bar in June 2019.

 

 

 

Experience

Chelsey grew up in Welland, Ontario and is fully bilingual in French and English. Prior to accepting an associate position with Lancaster Brooks & Welch in the Family Law Department and completing her articles, Chelsey worked with a law firm in Hamilton alongside the Commercial Litigation and Estates Litigation lawyer.

Commmunity

 

While in law school, Chelsey co-founded the Women & Law Committee at the University of Exeter; worked with the Family Law team at a local law firm focusing on child protection matters, and volunteered with the University of Exeter Community Law Clinic. Chelsey participated in national negotiation competitions and placed third at Denton’s UK wide Canadian National Negotiation Competition. Chelsey is passionate about family law and uses her negotiation skills and aptitude for communication in order to be the best advocate for her clients.
